Founded over 35 years ago, Kuo Shuay Industrial Co., Ltd. has always been deeply committed to developing new products.   • IE4 high-efficiency motors fully adopted in the fan and water-pump markets
  • Adopted by multiple semiconductor manufacturers in Taiwan

2025

  • The full IE4 high-efficiency motor series passed BSMI certification and MEPS Energy Bureau review

2023

  • IE4 high-efficiency motors entered mass production and were adopted for the first time by a leading semiconductor manufacturer in Taiwan

2019

  • Completed development of the NEMA Premium standard cast-iron-frame motor series for the U.S. market.

2018

  • Launched lightweight aluminum-frame IE3 standard motors with full UL/BSMI certification.

2017

  • Full series of cast-iron IE3 standard motors certified to UL/BSMI.

2016

  • Completed development of single-phase high-efficiency motors.
  • Long-shaft IE3 chemical-process motors entered mass production.
  • Obtained China CCC and GB2 certifications.

2015

  • IE3 energy-efficiency motors certified by Taiwan's ITRI.

2012

  • Became Asia's first qualified energy-efficiency verification laboratory and, at the same time, the first in Asia to obtain UL Premium (IE3) energy-efficiency motor certification.

2011

  • Became the first UL WDTP-designated testing laboratory in the motor industry.

2009

  • Successfully developed induction synchronous motors.

2008

  • Recognized by a well-known U.S. treadmill manufacturer and signed a mass-production contract.

2006

  • Obtained Japan's PSE safety certification and entered the Japanese water-pump market the same year.
  • Successfully developed AC low-voltage variable-frequency motors for vehicles (golf carts, forklifts, etc.) and put them into mass production.

2003

  • Obtained both CSA and cUL safety certifications for Europe and North America.
  • Expanded marketing operations into the U.S. and Canadian North American water-pump markets.
  • Successfully developed an AC variable-frequency motor series for electric treadmills (3/4 HP–5 HP).

2002

  • Obtained DNV ISO-9001 international quality certification.

2000

  • Established a joint venture, Teyi Co., in Dongguan, China with industry partners to produce universal motors, DC motors, AC induction motors and other products.

1999

  • Obtained DNV ISO-9002 international quality certification.

1998

  • Engaged NTU business management consultants to guide ISO-9002 implementation, improving internal processes to meet international quality-certification requirements, thereby raising production efficiency and product competitiveness.

1994

  • Due to growing business and capacity needs, expanded and relocated the plant to No. 6, Gouxin Rd., Shengang Township, Taichung County.

1991

  • Obtained UL certification E104096.

1988

  • Kuo Shuay Industrial Co., Ltd. was founded.
  • Established at No. 19, Lane 326, Liancun Rd., Fengyuan City, Taichung County, with 6 employees and an initial capital of NT$3 million at the time.
